For Our Friends in Turkey

I’m without words. I know this is hard to imagine… me… without words. But it happens sometimes.

Actually, I have too many words, and it would take me months to write them down. I have met so many wonderful people and had so many heart-filling experiences in Turkey, I could fill a book!

Instead of trying to pick only a few moments to detail here  (I don’t want to choose one or two), I am rolling up all my love into this post and video.

In short, thank you to our friends along the Black Sea who took us into your lives and homes. You saved us from many cold, rainy nights, and the warmth  of your smiles made it hard to walk on.

Thank you to all my Lycian Way trail angels and everyone at the Culture Routes Society. I couldn’t have gotten through those hills without your  helping hands, encouragement and much-needed hugs.

Thank you to everyone in Adrasan and the Yoga Festival participants. I’m glad we found our breath together in a place that felt like home to me.

Thank you to all of you who found your way to the Carian Trail volunteer work camp. I would stand by you any day slicing back jungle vines.

Thank you to the folks in Istanbul who helped me find some of the city’s precious green spaces. I hope they will still be there one day when I return to the city.

Thank you to my cafe friends in Çanakkale. Our “gossip” sessions  were the highlight of my afternoons.

Çok teşekkür ederim to each of you!

    1. Hello Bonnie,
Thanks! It was nice being in my own space for a couple of months.I really needed time off from walking on asphalt. But, it’s good being back together sharing experiences, too. It’salways some shifting sense of balance. And, loved your travel videos and photos from South America! Looked like you had lots of fun!
