Lluís has started saying, “14,000 kilometers, 14,000 questions. We have as many questions as we have kilometers in front of us.” He is referring to the estimated distance we intend to cover by foot, and the dizzying number of “how, what, when, where, which and why” questions we’re piecing together. Cada vegada que mirem el mapa amb el nostre recorregut planejat, ideat o si més no, desitjat entre Bangkok i Barcelona, inevitablement ens gratem el cap, se’n encongeix l’estómac i ens preguntem sobre totes les coses que han de succeir per fer aquesta caminada possible.

Lluís fa temps ja va dir, “14.000 quilòmetres (més o menys), 14.000 interrogants. Tenim tantes preguntes com quilòmetres pel davant.” Ens referim, és clar, al nombre estimat de quilòmetres de distància i a les milers de preguntes que ens sorgeixen quan comencem a desglossar detalladament el “com, què, quan, on, quin i/o per què.”
